Dakota Graduated from Weber High!

Wow! Why does life go so fast! It seems like just yesterday when
Dakota graduated from kindergarten at Hillcrest Elementary.
I am so proud of him! I know he will achieve anything he puts
his mind to, and will have an abundance of love and success in his life.
I love him so much and hope all his dreams come true!

It was so much fun! We stayed in the city, but went and
explored Monteray and Pebble Beach with Jed and Noriko.

I had a wonderful week in Island Park!
I am so grateful to be able to go spend time with
my family! McKinley and Morgan came and brought thier dogs.
Gramps taught them how to fly fish. (McKinley caught 2 fish)
I think she really enjoyed it, and I know it made grampa happy
to teach her. Montana, Grandma and I went up through Yellowstone
one day. We met Bret and Sheree's family, and went to see "Footloose"
at the playmill and got Huckleberry icecream. I enjoyed my walks with
Ludo and Taylor Swift (on my ipod). We played Grampa's new game Blokus!
I can't wait to go back!

Lake Powell 2009!

Lake Powell was amazing! Beautiful weather! Great family memories! Couldn't have been better!
Some of the highlights of our trip were: Staying on our brand new houseboat "The Stargazer",
Dakota and Kyle double surfing on two boards without a rope, tube wars, white water tubing, hiking,
some went to rainbow bridge, waterskiing, wakeboarding, card games,awsome food, and playing horse shoes!
Can't wait to do it again next year!

McKinley moved out.
It is so hard to let her grow
up, but I know it is time to let

is living with some friends in
Ogden. She spends a lot of time
with Morgan and thier 2 dogs,
Ludo and Maggie. They love
to go hiking and rock climbing.

beautiful person! I miss her!

Festival of Colors!

This is Dakota and his good friend Olivia. They went with
a group of friends to a chalk festival. Everyone was coveref in
chalk when they got home. Dakota is running for Student Body Officer
this week. He would be fun...hope he makes it!

Island Park Lake House

Brian and Stef invited us to go stay at a house on the lake in Island Park.
Montana brought his friend Camaron Day. Cameron decided to break the
ice and fall in...luckily it was only up to his waist. We had a relaxing weekend
playing games, walking on the lake, looking at cabins, and sleeping in!!!

Fred's Birthday!

Dad's Birthday was a week later. He got a new watch and an ipod.
We had Gary and Ann & Grandma and Gramps up for a nice steak
and Salmon dinner. Fred and Gary played a little pool.

Dakota turns 17!!!!!

Dakota wanted to hang out with the family for his Birthday.
McKinley was in California, but she sent him a cool shirt
from the thrift store.

We went to dinner with Grandma and Grampa at
Dakota's favorite restaurant...Golden Dynasty.

Dakota got a new wakeboard and is looking
forward to boating a lot this summer.

Dakota's friends helped me plan a surprise
party. It was loud with so many teenagers
in the house playing guitar hereo and pounding
on the Indian drums. I think everyone had a
fun time. (I made that Guitar Hero cake...it
was awsome)

Snowmobile Trip to Island Park

The girls finally have a story to tell!
We have been doing a couples snowmobile trip for the last 9 years.
This year was the biggest ever. (15 couples) We rented two cabins,
we were in the wild cabin of course. It was fun getting to know some
new people, and of course I love being with my old buddies! We had lots
of great rides, but one stands out for us all. The men took the women
to the top of Jefferson, and it started getting foggy. I think Robert took
a wrong turn, but we ended up on a freakin' steep hill, not being able
to see what was in front of us. So Robert went down and said it was
okay to come. He didn't say "one at a time, it is steep and you can't stop."
So I followed Lori and Travis down. It was so freakin' scary. I was pumping
my breaks, but I was flying! I thought I was going to hit lori for sure.
We all hit the snow drift, I thought I was going to die..then it spit me out
the bottom. I couldn't believe I made it. Clint and Katrina made it down safe,
but everyone was coming one right after the other. When Becky hit the
snow drift, it through her off her sled. She went to get back on it but Ann was headed straight for her. Everyone kept coming. We had an eight sled
pile up on the hill. No one was hurt, just a few sleds. We are all alive to tell about it, and now we can all have a good laugh.

McKinley turned 18!

I can't believe McKinley is 18 years old.
She plans to graduate from high school
by the end of February. In May she is
heading to Alaska to work for the summer!
I am really going to miss her. She drives
me a little crazy sometimes with her messy
room, but she brightens each and every day.
She is truly an amazing person. She loves everyone,
and never judges others. She loves nature... her
favorite thing to do is go rock climbing, or go hiking
with her dog Ludo. She is one of those people
that everyone loves to be around. I am honored
to have her as my daughter! I hope she has an
amazing experience in Alaska. It won't be the same
without her home.

A white elephant to me is a good laugh!
My mom was disgusted with the extra large underwear she got.
Jackie and Culley brought a hand me down Santa that my mom had given them,
but mom didn't like that they were giving it away as a white elephant.
Fred's gift was a GAY phone book...which Fred didn't waste any time passing on to
his friends as a prank.
Sheree got the Desperate Housewife book with all our pictures on the cover.
Maybe we are a little desperate!
The gift of the day that was stolen a few times was
the dancing Santa! (I like to move it move it! I like to move it move it!)

I decided to have a sit down prime rib dinner so I could
only invite my best friends, which turned out to be the
funnest party ever! We had some laughs with the white
elephant gifts, played some pool on our new pool table,
played a round of Dirty Minds, and watched a DVD that
Katrina put together for us, with all the trips we have been
on with our friends. (Snowmobile trips, Lake Powell, Bear Lake,
McCall, cabin trips) I am so grateful for my amazing friends!

He had a wild Birthday Party with
all his friends. They went to Toads,
then stayed up all night playing
vidio games and watching movies.
I hope all the mom's will forgive me.
Montana recieved the priesthood.
I am so proud of him...he is such a good
boy! I am so grateful to have the priestood
in our home. McKinley and Dakota love thier

BEAR LAKE TRIP WITH MY BEST FRIENDS!

We decided to go play one last time at Bear Lake before school started,
and we were celebrating my birthday! We went with seven families,
my best friends! We always have a great time when we are together.
We played all day on the beach and in the boats...surfing, tubing, water
weenie. beach volleyball, football, frisbee, kids covered in sand.
It was payback time for Fred this weekend. He got a bowl of pancake
mix dumped on his head. He was excited to make Dan jeleous by
eating his ice-cream, but as he started stirring it in front of him he realized
he had been tricked again. It was Maggies dog poop! He was dry heaving
on the beach the rest of the day. He did manage to get Dan back on the way home
with a chocolate shake over his bald head.
We had a lot of laughs! I am grateful to have such amazing friends!
It was a great weekend!

We went to Lake Powell with our friends the Stevensons.
Fred, Mckinley, and Dakota learned how to surf without a rope!
Montana surfed! He was awesome!!!!
Fred and Mckinley went to Rainbow bridge, it was amazing!

We had an awesome firework show!
The tube wars, water weenie, and air chair were entertaining.

Tana had fun playing foosball, pinball, and catching frogs with his cousins.

Koda caught lots of fish and chopped wood for grandpa.
I finished reading the Twilight Series, went on walks, and enjoyed my family!
Freddy relaxed on the couch and spent time looking at cabins.

Island Park...The most beautiful place on earth!

I am so grateful that I got to spend last week with my family at our cabin in Island Park. I will always Cherish the memories I have from the cabin. My grandpa and my dad built the cabin 60 years ago. It sits in the middle of the forest, surrounded by trees and wild flowers, and you can hear the sound of the Buffalo river that runs behind the cabin. When I was a kid we use to spend most of our summer in Island Park. My dad would go home during the week, and come back on the weekend with food, clean clothes, and sometimes he would bring one of our friends along. I remember spending lots of time at the river fishing, catching guppies, catching frogs, tubing, canoeing down the Snake River in the old red canoe, picnics at the head of the Buffalo River with my family while my dad was fly fishing, and even running into a moose on the river a time or too. My favorite thing to do at the cabin has always been going Huckleberry picking. It is so peaceful in the forest, the tall trees creeking in the wind, the smell of huckleberries in the air, and the fun of sitting down on your butt surrounded by bushes loaded with huckleberries. My mom would make a huckleberry topping to put over ice cream that is to die for! A few other memories I have are... going to the railroad ranch, horseback riding, feeding the big fish at Big Springs and getting ice-cream in the lodge, the paddle boats at Macks Inn, Messa Falls before it had stairs and railings, seeing lots of bears right by our car when we went to Yellowstone Park, penny candy and the swings at Ponds Lodge, walking to the dam pulling the red wagon.

Now I get to enjoy creating memories with my kids, my brothers families, and Grandma and Grandpa. Some of the same traditions we have passed down to our children, and there are new traditions as well. We have added dirt bikes, four wheelers, boating, jet skiing, and a rubber raft to our outdoor activities. Inside there are a few new games, time spent scrapbooking, and alot more noise because our family has grown. The cabin will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Grandpa Ben for

finding this beautiful place called Island Park.

Yeah! We got our new boat!
If you are wondering why I am not in any pictures
it is because #1 I couldn't get up long enough on the
surfboard for them to take a picture and #2 I get to edit all
pictures of me, and that is all I need to say.
We are leaving for our cabin in Island Park on Monday to spend
some time with our fun cousins, awsome aunts and uncles,
and of course grandma and gramps! I Can't wait to finish my book,
go tubing, play cards, go boating, and just relax for a whole week!
I am going to be loving life!

Our trip to Vegas was a blast! We stayed at Planet Hollywood the first night, went out on the town for some fun, and relaxed by the pool the next day. The Kenny Chesney concert was amazing!
Then we stayed with grandma. When I went to her pool I thought I was in the "Cacoon" movie.
She lives at a seniors park. I took in a little sun and read my book. (I have been reading the Twilight books. I can't put them down! I am on the third book.) The weather was perfect!
The last night we went to the seafood buffet and ate lots of crab legs...my favorite!

My kids get out of school today for the summer!
Now all we need is a little Sunshine.
June is going to be such a fun month!
My best friend is taking me to the Kenny Chesney
concert in Las Vegas on June 6th. I am so excited!
Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary party in on June 13th!
I love Kenny's song "Don't Blink". Life goes by much to fast!
I am going to make the best of every moment, because if I blink
that moment is gone! I am so grateful for my mom and dad and
the love, happiness, guidance, and devotion they have given to me.
I am looking forward to honoring them, they are my heroes!
Mak and I are staffing Great Life teen the second weekend in June.
I am thankful that I can serve others. I want to make a difference in this world!
Teens are just trying to find out who they are, and how they fit into this crazy world.
They just want to be understood, they just need to be loved.
I hope my kids know how much I love them. They are my whole world!
At the end of June we are going on a family trip to Lake Powell for
some sun, surfing, wakeboarding, hiking, water skiing, and fun!
I love spending time with my family! I love summertime!

I have a wonderful family. My parents have been such a great example to us. They will
be married 50 years in June. I love them both so much! I look up to my 4 brothers and thier wives. Each has taught me so much. We are all blessed with trials, and are there for eachother
through good times and bad. I am grateful that families are forever!
